A "gen 3" bronco II? Is it possible???

We have a member on here with a '05 front end (I think, somewhere near that year) on a first gen explorer sport, and it looks excellent, so I'd think a BII would line up fairly good. I personally don't like the 3rd gen front end as much as a 2nd gen, so I think you're crazy anyways! One of my...

dual cases electric t case. help

It wouldn't take too much. You want a diagram of the contacts, which are not complicated - those are what tells the module where the motor is. Figure out which contacts are the low-high contacts, and use a double pole, double throw switch (so it can have two circuits) and each circuit will use...

    Bronco II "weird" Trans Noise

Not necessarily. The exhaust will resonate differently depending on rpm and load. Crawl under and grab ahold of different things and shake them, figure out which part is rattling. If it was the tranny or drivetrain making that much noise, I'd think you feel it through the seat going down the...

    Bronco II "weird" Trans Noise

I vote something is loose in the exhaust. Also, no RBV is exempt from being required to run a cat unless it's never taken on a public road, and even then it's ignorant. Go put on some sort of exhaust that includes a cat (c'mon, they're like $50 and modern ones aren't restrictive) and I bet the...

    This 4x4 makin me ANGRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you take the motor off and take it apart, there is a bushing that shatters on the main gear of the shift motor. Also, the cover on older ones has the contacts on it and can be clocked back and forth to determine stop points for the shift motor. I rebuilt and adjusted mine and it's perfect...

    regearing

I'd take a body lifted truck over a fabtech lifted truck any day. They're poser lifts for show trucks. Don't believe me? Call and ask if they are designed for harsh off-road conditions. James Duff, Skyjacker, or make your own.

    Just brought home a B2

Holy offset batman. 31x10.50's look stretched on 10" wheels, the whole thing just looks, I dunno. Definitely needs cutout flares and 33's. Make sure they're wider than 10.5, too. How can you even keep it clean? You'd probably get pulled over in my state, and I know you won't get a legal...

Trys to start as soon as i hook the battery up?

Frozen starter solenoid, bad ignition switch, I dunno. First thing I'd do is smack the solenoid a few times.

    Explorers off road

I'll vouch for the '91-'94 Explorers. I have a '91 Navajo, same thing as a '91 Explorer Sport. All I've done for upgrades that improve off-road ability is tires, albeit they are most definitely off-road tires and they are terrible on pavement due to the noise. I can go anywhere I damn well...

    Auto 4x4 hubs

DOH. Didn't even figure it was a BII or look at his stats. Yeah, 28's are smaller.

    Auto 4x4 hubs

Auto hubs are expensive unless you buy them used. Check the for sale area on here. I'll have a set for sale sometime in the next few months (cheap, they have 250k miles and I've abused them off road, but they still work perfect) but that doesn't help you now.

Wait, it reads empty when full and reads full when empty?

Clutch on my 1994 Explorer XLT.

They are two unrelated issues. Check u-joints, check fluid level, check transfer case fluid, and if all else fails - pull the tranny and replace the clutch. The issue of the truck not going into gear easy is just the throwout bearing getting old.

    Bronco II lift

I'd recommend against blocks, re-arched leaves and/or shackles will be better, less traction hop.

    Running out of Ideas....

While you have a chance, take the shift motor apart. Inside the worm drive box there is a big gear, on the other side of this gear is a little nub with a plastic stopper. The stopper will probably be broken, I replaced mine with a zip-tie around the nub. Most common failure point and reason...

Oh, and just forget about the rear abs, you don't need it in a BII. Mine doesn't work on my Navajo.
