    bronco II temp gauge

I have both a mechanical temp and oil pressure guage. They both work great. Oil pressure tops 65 when cold starting. They are both very accurate.

    B2 Cruise Control

Mine still works, use it a lot.

Temperature gauge moves when lights are on

Have you simply checked the connection to the sending unit for the guage? It's just a press over terminal with a black boot.

    Frame Mounted Hitch

I installed a "hidden hitch" on mine about 5 years ago. Fairly simple. Has the 4 bolts holding it to the bottom of the frame rail (have to be drilled) and then a side plate that attaches to the side of the frame (uses existing hole). Took about 20 minutes to install.

    Going crazy...

If you replaced the sensor that operates the guage in the dash it is probably just showing it running 'hotter' because you now have a clean contact with the wire to the guage. Best thing would be install a mechanical temp guage. Pretty simple. Goes in where the old guage probe comes out...

    Dosnt start only somtimes

Is it running rich? Flooding out maybe? Your mileage get worse all the sudden?

    Iac

Not necessarily. If any of the sensors starts reading wrong it will send the computer into a 'default' mode and the computer runs on a pre programmed set of variables and no longer listens to the sensors. Therefore unplugging any sensor may or may not cause a change. Pull your codes and look for...

rear drive shaft question. cv to non cv

I have a stock B2, but I have been running a rear drive shaft with a single u-joint on both ends for some time now. I would say it has at least 20K on it. No problems I can see or feel.

Are these Bronco II rims worth anything?

My XLT has the alloy wheels with the round holes in them. Wish I could find a nice set, mine are showing their age.

    Bronco II expert needed

When I did my swap, I had a guy I work with cut the linkage from the t-case in half and extend it. I could not find one I needed to make it work.

    oil sending unit.....

Sending unit is on the driverside front of the motor. Down close to the manifold. There is a hex shaped boss poking out of the motor with a sending unit screwed into it. Should be fairly obvious because it sticks out there for some odd reason. My oil PSI is 60 when cold, and drops down to 20...

    cv driveshaft

I have a single u-joint shaft on my B2 and it's worked fine for 20K+ miles.

    Hard to explain 4WD issue

Today in Ohio we got a decent amount of snow from the time I got to work to when I left. The expressways were coated and everyone was going 10mph or under. I had the Bronco in 4WD. It was stop and go most of the way, and I began to notice something odd. Normally all 4 wheels pull at...

    Explorer 4x4 issues...

He says right here... It WAS in lower gear. Therefore, it is NOT the shift motor. Sorry

    Explorer 4x4 issues...

If you have 4-lo it is NOT the shift motor... I can't believe the number of people who agree with one person who is wrong. Get your own opinions people. It has to go past 4-hi to get to 4-lo, so obviously it is shifting fine. Something is broken in the case.

help with transfer case and front axle

Popping is probably a worn out chain. Not much else in there to pop, the growling could also be coming from the transfer case chain. But if it is coming from the axle, I would check the unit bearing (wheel bearings) before much else.
