My 87 B2 recently died while driving. There were no warning signs that I know of, although it's always gotten bad gas mileage, maybe 11 mpg or so. There is battery voltage at the ignition coil connection with ignition on but no spark at the center coil wire as far as I can tell. No signs of life when starting fluid sprayed into the throttle body. No check engine light at all so I haven't been able to read the codes with the engine light flashes. I did replace the original coil as I thought it was the problem, since it did have voltage at the connections. I'm now thinking it's the computer. Would a bad computer stop all spark from the coil?

Sounds like a bad TFI module, located on the back of the distributor. Those are known to fail due to all the heat back there, and there are some remote mods that people have done to relocate that module away from the back of the engine.
