2.7 problems

My neighbor bought a new Bronco. Just a few months into ownership and its at the dealership with motor problems. I read that quite a few owners have been having problems with this motor as well. Does anyone know what is going on with the 2.7?

I don't remember the exact issue or if the is more then one issue.

I do seem to remember there being problems with the valves.

@85_Ranger4x4 might know a little more...

I have heard of a few of them dropping valves.

I havent followed them super close, ours will have the 2.3
