I just read a post on another forum which I can't find now of course, but the guy posed, at least for my limited knowledge, an interesting question.
His claim is that the 2.9 and the 4.0 motors share the same engine block and that the intake manifold from the 2.9 should bolt right on to the 4.0 as well as the distributor. His theroy being that the B2's stock 2.9 Computer would not know the difference between the 2.9 and the 4.0 and should work without any need for any electrical modifications.
This intrigues me, can somebody tell me if this is a load of poo or a feasible alternative, I would assume if it all bolted up right, it would work maybe not up to the full potential of the motor, but still would have to be abundantly more powerful than the 2.9
