Engine runs awhile then stalls. Sometimes starts right back up but sometimes needs to set awhile before starting. Have replaced several parts over past couple years. New computer 2 years ago and since have replaced; distributor cap, plug wires, fuel pump, idle air control valve, throttle position sensor, fuel pressure solenoid, and most recently ignition module. Would appreciate any help.

Runs and drives then stalls, or just idles for a while then stalls?

Both. It will sometimes stall when idling for a time and also after driving a while.

Replaced TFI module a week ago. Guess I may have got a bad one. Wondering if the magnetic pickup coil could possibly cause this.

Do you have vacuum gauge and fuel pressure gauge?

Neither. Probably need to invest in a fuel pressure gauge. A friend is going to check it for me on Monday and I think he has one.

If you are going to need to tune the engine, a vacuum gauge is essential (and cheap).

Ok. I appreciate the info. I will check at local parts store for one.

I would also suggest picking up a spark tester... ST-125

When the truck quits... very simple to put on and see if you have spark.
