Looking to replace the driver front seat Bun (foam) on my 90 BII. Not having any luck finding it. Any thoughts or outlets for Seat Bun replacement on the BII?

Thanks in Advance

Do you have the exit side foam crushed down from sliding out of the drivers seat?

When I took mine apart to add seat heaters I saw that there is no support in that area. I tried building it up with the kit I got from LMC. But it didn't take long to crush down again.

I don't know if sturdier foam will do the trick or if I'll have to fabricate some type of pan to help support the foam. Or plan on a redo every couple of years.

I'd also given thought to see if I can swap the foam with passenger seat.

No it is just getting a little soft on the outside and thought If I could find the buns I would have the foam replaced. I will check LMC and see what they have. Thanks for the tip

A bit old thread, but I'm curious if you find a seat bun replacement.

I see this is an older thread, but there may be some interest.

I have an appointment with an auto interior restoration shop next month to see what they would charge to replace the foam on my '88 driver seat.

While at this, I am also interested in what they will charge to repair the seat track/seat back adjuster (does not travel full forward). I suspect the cable is broken because it also does not tilt the back enough to enable entry and egress to the rear seating area, but that's a post for another section of the forum, later.

If anyone is still interested, I can post the quote and/or results, should I decide to have them perform the work on the seat bun. Thanks.

My driver seat welt cord repair and bun rebuild were completed yesterday and I am pleased with the results. Nice to have a firm, but comfortable bun.The cost was $100 total to r/r the driver seat, repair the welt cord and seam, as well as add additional foam. Very pleased with the match.

As for the seat track travel, they found slag from manufacturing and removed. I now have complete travel and posted pics in another thread. Here are some photos of the final result of welt repair and foam add, sorry the colors bleached out with the flash, but you can see the welt cord is no longer exposed:
