Hello, I will try to explain my problem to you. I start the engine and I put the lever on R or D of my A4LD gearbox, there I feel a good engagement as if it was normal and then nothing for about 1-2 minutes the Bronco does not want to move, after this time it starts to move forward or backward slowly at the start and after rolling a little bit it drives normally, it has good acceleration, the gears shift well, no slipping. Do you have any idea what is causing this delay? Another question, is it possible to adapt a European manual gearbox from a car that has the same engine?

Is it low on transmission fluid?

difficult to explain, when cold, I change all gears for 5 seconds and the level is too high, after 2-3 minutes the level is good and the gearbox reacts, I tried by adding 1 pint of oil more , it's worse, then I took out 2 pint and it reacts faster on startup but the level indicates too low (or the gauge tube is not well inserted)

On the dip stick on my 1990 BII with A4LD I keep the fluid (when cold) at the "T" in Don't Add which is just above the full indication mark. And it works great.

Ok but that does not explain why it does not start immediately, I was thinking of a solenoid which would open too slowly since it takes a certain time before the level drops at start up

No, it's just a reflection I don't see what could delay the deposit, if the level is not correct directly, something is not opening or slowly and I do not see anything else than the solenoid, but I'm ready for other suggestions

if I could I would put a manual gearbox but we don't find one here in Europe, unless try a European gearbox but I'm not sure we could adapt it

Could be a dirty valve body causing the shift delay. Not sure how hard they are to change or even get a replacement for. I had the transmission in my 88 B2 rebuilt and upgraded slightly to keep it alive for many years so that maybe an option as well.

As for transmission swaps its quite a process installing pedals, hydraulic clutch parts, ECM swap, etc. If you plan on keeping the vehicle for quite a while I'd spend the money and have the transmission rebuilt and upgraded slightly with better bands and such.

Thanks for the answer, my problem is to know if it's bad for the gearbox, otherwise I don't mind waiting 2-3 minutes before starting, because afterwards, it has the strength as before

Yes its bad for the transmission and needs to be corrected ASAP. Eventually it'll just fail completely and most likely not in a very good location.
