anyone running a DD doubler in their bronco II ?

I have a 86 bronco II with 4.0 and 5 speed.I was thinking of buying Duffys doubler for myself for christmas.My bronco has a skyjacker 6 inch class two lift with 4.56"s and a rear detroit locker.I just wonder if it will make the rear driveshaft have to much angle?I plan on running 33's.Anyone have any info before I drop the $$$?

He's got 4.0L/auto/doubler combo in his BII, and should be able to fill you in on the detail's.

I have DD doubler in my 89. Added less than 7" to the overall lenght of the drive train. I had to have the read driveshaft shortened and the front one extended.

The DD doubler is quality stuff and works great. I am still open in both ends but its amazing what it will do in double low!

There's quite a few of us running the D.D. Machine doubler kits. Like was said, the quality is excellent. Only thing I found with mine that could've been an issue was the oil fill hole seemed too low for proper lubrication (and you couldn't get to it anyway with the cases assembled), so i relocated the breather fitting to the top of the case and used the old breather hole (tapped out to a ¼" NPT thread) as the fill hole.

Not sure what makes a bigger difference, being fully locked both diffs, or the doubler... Maybe the locked diffs... but it's dang near a toss-up lol.

As for the driveshaft, IIRC mine is around 28" with having the rear end pushed back about 3". Even without that, a 25" driveshaft should still be quite manageable, though it would likely have to be a double-cardan setup (which is what mine is).

i have a doubler i built, its 9 inches total, so my DL is now 9 inches shorter, i have a 4" lift and it seems to be ok, the angles arnt bad, but my perches have also been moved on the rear end.
