Hello everyone, bought my third bronco ii this year with a bad head and swapped out the engine with a spare I had. The bronco that was recently bought was a 1986 with the egr still intact, the engine I put in was a 1988 with the egr deleted from factory. I tried starting it up but all it does is rough idle really bad and dies right away, I know my base timing is set but my degrees are off I’m sure, but could the deleted egr of my new engine be causing the rough idle like this having the original 1986 ecu still programmed with the egr? I thought about throwing the old egr valve on but not hookin up the egr valve to the exhaust. Thoughts?
