I think those pics are of when he first got it.It's a good base to start with. Hopefully he also posts some pics of progress over the two years.

lets try this agian, got it home in the garage and started deconstrution of the bronco. first off with the top,and gut the interior so i could pull the body off the frame and do some clean up and paint and decide what i don't need.

after removing the top i cut the brace off above the side window and installed across the top to reinforce the top and give me something to bend a lip down from to mach the sides.

I love that first pic, the placement of the bicycle and the angle, looks like the bii is sporting a bicycle tire

i spent a couple of days with a grinder and wire wheel to clean up frame and finished takeing everything off so i had just a bare frame. Once completted i set body back on made my own body lift from 2'' pipe and flat plate
flipped rear leafs around to extend wheelbase. pushed front axle forward so now it sit's at 101'' . picked up a ford 9" and dana 44 from a 1979 ford f-150 for $300.00 not a bad buy but there open diff's with 3:50 geers and full time hubs :badidea:

next i ordered coils from rusty's offroad for a xj with a 8.5 lift and fabricated coil buckets to match the hight of rear. and i set rear by flipping the springs around and welding new saddles on after setting the pitch for the rear axle.

got the body back on everything hooked up and running so next i fabricated front and rear bumpers that would take a little abuse on the rocks. i used 1/4''x6'' flat for the top and face and used 3/16'' x 4'' for bottom on both front and rear. push bar is 2''x2''x3/16'' .

finished cutting out rear wheel wells and fabricated new ones to fit the opening, pacthed rear of cab where top was cut off and used the hinges from rear hatch to attach to bottom so it works like a truck tailgate and pacthed in corners. installed gas fill behind rear taillight still working on some sort of hinge for light.

decided to make fender flares so the bronco don't have to be a trailer queen all the time,i kinda want to drive it down the road once in a while. started on the some body work and sanding for paint, all in primer now.

Awesome work man, that thing is too cool! I'm loving first gen's more and more, especially after seeing this thread. And I wondered how good that duplicolor premixed stuff was. Looks great! :icon_thumby:

Damn man, you cleaned that thing up nicely. That is one badass B2.

I'm thinking an ORTOTM nom. Post up a pic of some off-road action.
