In talking to my guys they suggested you start with the ignition relay. The ignition starter Relay would be what would effect the starter engaging or not engaging. Hope this helps

I would guess it is in the fuse box on passenger side inside the engine compartment. It should say something like Power Distribution Box on the lid. It should be right in front of the Starter Ignition Relay. They are like 10-14 dollars each. Order one of each and replace them both. Disconnect your battery first before replace either.

Dennis,

Thank you for the information, i wil order them, and change them both.
you seem to know a lot about bronco's.
i've read somewhere about using tie wraps at the trottle pedal, what's the reason for this?
I have the Eddie Baurer version with electrical shifter for 4x4 and low gear, it's not working:sad:, is there a fuse or something?

Never heard about the tie wraps. I have manual hubs so not in my wheel house. The electrical shifter item is the very reason I did not want that type of system. I looked and looked until I found the BII that I wanted with a automatic transmission and manual hubs. There way more guys on this forum that know way more then I do about
the BII.

Zip tie fix is for slack in the throttle caused by cable, linkage, etc...
I remember reading about it on full size Broncos, not Bronco II's but I guess it could apply here as well.
