BW1354M Transfer Case Question

I have searched the forum and checked both of my repair manuals and cannot find the answer. How many qtrs. of Mercon automatic transmission fluid does the BW 1354 Manual Transfer Case hold? My Owners manual says 2.5 Pints Also when I change it Friday, if it is available is there any reason not to go with a Sync Mercon automatic transmission fluid? I don't even know if they make a Sync Mercon but will check at O'reilly's in the morning.

Ok I serviced the BW 1354M Transfer Case today. The amount of Mercon ATF was indeed 2.5 pints. Should be good to go in that area now. It was full and looked red or slightly colored upon draining
