Ok, I need some real help. I have a 1984 Bronco II with the 2.8 and an automatic transmission. It will not even try to start. I replaced the ignition switch but when I turn the key there is nothing happening. My dash lights come on but nothing else happens. I have a new solenoid switch and the battery is good. I also replaced the ignition cylinder about 4 months ago. Any ideas of what to check and how to check it?

Have you tried starting it by using a screwdriver across the solenoid terminals? That would rule out a starter, and battery issue. Could be a bad ignition switch, lock cylinder, etc, I wouldn't rule those out yet.

Do you have lights? If you have headlights and dash lights that means power.
A neutral safety switch will cause something like this.
