My daughter just got an 86 bronco II with a 97 explorer 4.0 engine. she stated that her emiss light is blinking but the engines running fine and no other issues.Anyone have any checks i should look at first? and maybe some pinouts for voltage and/or resistance i should check. Thanks

Hmmm...

The 86 should have been OBD1. That 97 4.0L is an OBD2 system. Not sure how they did the swap... but I would they to connect a scan tool and see if you can communicate with the ECM. I would configure it as the 97 Explorer and see if you can pull codes and/or view data.

Gotcha... might be a good time to figure out if it's OBD1 or 2 though. It will come in handy at some point I'm sure.
