Is there no type of warning when you leave your headlights on? I drove the B2 on Monday during the day while it was raining and when I parked it I left the headlights on and it killed the battery I mean killed would not even begin to take a charge. The battery was a 100 month Motorcraft battery with free replacement through 37 months, of course my 37 months were up 6 Sep of 2018 so it was prorated so out the door for $60.

I'm pretty sure there is a chime for the lights left on.

If there is one where is it? I don't even get a chime for my seat belts much less the lights. I can hear my turn signals going tick, tick etc or at least if I have my hearing aids in.

I could be mistaken, it's been a long time since I've driven my 85 b2. My 93 the wiring was butchered and there is no chimes of any sort. If there is a chime module it's most likely on the drivers side above the e-brake. IIRC the plug is black as is the module, maybe 2"x2"x3/4 ?

Ok I got the Ford Part number (E6AZ-10D840-A) and the MotorCraft number (SW-2059) from my local Ford Dealership Parts Dept. They thought there was one at the Ford Dealership in Overland, KS but it had been sold and I cannot find one on line. If anyone has a lead on one please post.

Thanks Jerry C for the location. Yes the Chime relay was behind the glove box. I pulled it out and it had a different number on it. I called the Ford Parts Dept and they said that the number that is on it is the engineering number and yes it does match the part number of E6AZ-10D840-A. I have checked rockauto, the web and nothing so far.

I spent a lot time looking for one. I think that there are two wiring configurations for older Ford chimes. One is staggered and the other is inline. My BII is the staggered type same as yours. Ford used the same or similar chimes in many models.
I think we are probably going to have to get one used, junk yard or ebay. I've seen some on ebay used but they have been priced higher than I want to pay for something that might be no better than what I have.

I will wait until I find the exact one or do without before I would chop up my wire harness to splice something in on the hope that it might work.

Ok Update

Found the E6AZ-10D840-A relay at a local u-pick yard. Cost me $1.00 to get in and the lady gave me the part for free. It came out of a 1990 B2. Installed it when I got home and no change. No Door ajar, No Headlight warning, No Seat belt warnings. So lets assume for now that the relay was good. Where else or what else would cause those warnings not to be audibly triggered? Fuse, speaker etc?

The speaker is in that part. I took mine apart and worked on it to make it louder. It did get louder but you still barely hear it.

In my Haynes Ford Ranger & Bronco II 36070 (1026) Automotive Repair Manual on page 12-19 on the lower electrical diagram it shows a ignition key/safety Belt/Headlamp "on" warning Buzzer. Now it says 1984-1988 Bronco II typical. Am I wrong in thinking that part behind the glove box is a relay E6AZ-10D840-A not a Buzzer? Is there a separate speaker/buzzer?

No the part I am talking about looks nothing like your link. The link below has a picture that looks like it. It is not it but the same shape but only has 4 blades.

This part is laying right behind the glove box door. You tilt out the door and there it is screwed to the low cross member of the glove box frame just below the frame so the clove box can close.

Nope that's not it, keep looking. I think mine was to the left side.

Pulled the glove box again and nothing looking like your post is visible behind or to the left of the glove box? It might be behind the ashtray. Does it have 2 plug in's?

Based on your post the correct part number is E9EB-10D840-AA. I think I see it under the dash. There are 3 on e-bay. Going back out to the u-pick yard on Monday or Tuesday to see if either of the 2 90 B2's have one cheaper. The one on e-bay is non tested as is for $10. Will report back later in the week. Thanks for the help.

If I am reading the manual correctly... It may be the door switch that isn't working,
Having a key in the ignition or lights on plus the door open is the trigger for the chime.
Fuse 8 is the one that powers the door switch.
*the manual is for my '88, hopefully your 90 is the same
