I am new to this forum. I just purchased my bronco II a few months ago. Everything has been going great until the other day I had it out on the ranch and I used the four wheel drive quite a bit (both 4 high and 4 low). At some point I was shifting from from 2 wheel to 4 high and noticed that the indicator light did not come on but it did shift into 4 high. I figured the light just burnt out because the the 4 wheel drive worked and 4 low light still worked. The next day I tried out 4 high and low but nothing happened beside the clicking in the dash but never went into 4 wheel. It turned out it was the shifting motor which was an easy fix. Replaced the indicator lights in the overhead console. It shifts into the 4 high and low now but still the 4 high indicator light does not work, but the 4 low indicator light does. Is there anybody that could help me out? I know its not that big of a deal since it goes into 4 wheel but I still would like to have the 4 high indicator light work. Thanks

Could just be a lose electrical connection at the transfer case, check your wiring connections. I know on the manual shift models if the shift linkage isn't adjusted properly the indicator light on the dash don't come on like its supposed to. My guess would be an adjustment or bad electrical connection. I'm not experienced in the electronic shift systems so like I said check the connections.

Thanks for your response! All of the connections at the transfer case are good. A few days ago I tried the 4x4 control module test and I got the constant red light (no blinking). Could it be a bad control module? Everything else works fine except for the one indicator light.
