Going to install a custom performance cat back exhaust system I found online, but wondering if I should replace the headers while I'm there or nah? The current exhaust system has leaks and sags, but the headers seem ok just original. Just bought the 88 BII EB and just starting to replace things that are most important. Thought?

Guess it depends on what you are looking for. Are you trying to add performance? Improve sound? Replace bad parts/systems?

If you are going for performance, I've always believed that an upgraded cat-back system was useless without upgraded headers.

Replacing the headers is worth the cost. You can feel real power, and the exhaust sound will improve.
