Installed 4 new shocks today. In trying to keep the BII as stock as possible I installed the following 4 Motorcraft Shocks.
Front: Motorcraft ASHV1000
Rear: Motorcraft ASHV1048
I am sure that my 1990 BII with 111,260 miles had the original shocks. The top nut was a Bitch getting off, the bottom nut came right off with my air impact gun. The original top nut was a 15mm the replacement is a 9/16 much easier to deal with. Anyway nice smooth ride now.
