Ok guys, I have a 94 explorer 4 by....about bone stock. Well the poor guy has 240k on the motor, and the 4.0 is tired.

Good news is, I have a 91 f150 4x4, with a efi 5.0 drivetrain for a donor. everything but the body and frame are in excellent shape, low miles, ect.

So now my question is, what can i use? can i get away with motor, trans and transfer case if i just modify the drive shafts? can i steal the spindles with aftermarket locking hubs already in them? Ideas in any form would be awesome,

motor trans and transfer case can all be used .. dunno bout the spindles tho

Are you swapping over the axles also?

You could put the D44's knuckles on your D35....
