I just got my 89 B2 manual w/ 4wd and have some inquiries. I also have a Crown Vic interceptor and was wandering if I could swap that 8.8 into my bronco. My biggest concern is the length of the crown Vic axles. Is that rear end way longer than the B2? Would the wheels be sticking way out and have other complications with this swap? Thanks to anyone who has info on this.

You could remove the rear wheels on each and measure flange to flange. I know the 96-01 Explorer/Mountaineer 8.8 is a direct swap. That's what I'm going to do.
