Yep, the transmission has apparently lost a bearing or something. It is making a loud knocking sound under acceleration in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th. I have a free '91 sploder 2wd so I guess its time to start saving for an m5od with a trans case for a 4.0 swap?!?!

Yup, you blew the counter-shaft bearings.

Pour a little sawdust in there to take up the clearances and sell it.

You do know that you can't just throw a transfer case on the back of that 2wd trans and go to town, right?

Yes, I am aware of this...........that is why I have to save up some money to pick up an m5od and transfer case as stated in my 1st post.

Bad news, not only did it tear teeth off the countershaft, it chewed up the main drive gear.............guess I'll be down for a while 'til I decide what to do.....
