I was cleaning up the garage... and I popped the hood. I also confirmed that my face did zero damage to the front bumper.

Mocking up the new steel brake lines to the extended stainless brake hoses. I would like to use the factory mounting location but the new hose does not turn 90 degrees after the mount like a standard hose. I makes the new hose stand out further causing potential tire rub. So I’m electing to use the new supplied mounts. I thinks it’s gonna be spectacular 😎.

I know the stainless hoses on my Bronco run to close to the tire for my liking. Seems most folks just zip tie the hose to the spring and call it a day.

I think your work around is much better.

Partsapaloosa! Bench full of new parts. Started up front. New axle U joints. Spindle seals and bearings. New rotors, bearings, calipers and pads. Fancy red powder coated calipers. Add in the new brake lines and braided stainless hoses and it’s complete.
This is all on 1 of my 85 BIIs. I swapped in a Dana 35 last fall. She’s an ongoing project years in the making. But she got a little closer today.

Now you're playing with fire!

You forgot the fancy red drums...

Those must add to the overall horse power.

Don’t spoil next weeks episode. She gonna be all on fire. 🔥. Red drums to match the red sway bar bushing. Gotta be good for 6, maybe 7 horse. 😎

Check out how it worked out. They stayed real close to the spring and top of the ball joint all the way down. Don’t make fun of my 29x10.50 15 super swampers. There just shop rollers. 😎

Just bought my 85 Eddie Bauer Bronco II, 5 speed, manual hubs, yesterday. Cleaned it up some and put the sun visors back on it. PO had removed them to have a new headliner put in.

Installed all the new brake hardware, adjusters, shoes, wheel cylinders and without fail, fire red drums 🔥. Note the new parking brake cables too! Oh yeah baby!
Have some more plumbing to do to make em work but that’s for tomorrow.

That's awesome... gets closer all the time.

Cut a slit in a pizza box and slide it behind the axle flange... then hit them with some rustoleum.

I manufactured a vacuum canister for the cruise control (it wouldn't downshift the auto trans). Seems to work better but it will take more than an 8 mile trip to tell for sure.

Pizza? I can’t afford no pizza. But they givin boxes away at the post office. 😂
I really like that rustoleum rust reformer. I’ve had good results with it. “I put that shit on everything”.

You stop buying Bronco parts... you could have some pizza!

I seem to just keep piling stuff on the driveway behind the Bronco. This week it's hardwood mulch.

The honey do list is shrinking... it's almost time.

I did get a new set of black door panels and water shields delivered last week.

At least you got to bring the hills to your bronco. Lock in and hit the R on the shifter. It’s stands for “race”.
Ready to see them door panels.

Finished adding the pony’s to the rear brakes. Started the plumbing for the binder juice. Still have the two from the reservoir to the valve. Then it’s fuel system time.

Finally found a throttle body off an 87' 2.9L for my 89' (58mm vs 50mm). Cleaned it up and installed. Took for a test drive. My butt dyno says "maybe" a little HP gain but it sure does respond to throttle input more smoothly. I like it......

Been working on mine a bit lately.

Overhauling the fuel system was first on the list. Got my new tank painted and hope to get the sending unit modified for the in tank high pressure pump today and get the tank installed.
