What/which motor mounts

So putting in a 4.0 from 98 explorer into a 84 B2 manual
I bought 98 motor mounts drilled hole in cross member but the 4.0 does not line up.

does the metal plate have something to do with this issue?

sorry if I am missing details, this is a first ever post and I thought I did my homework, but I am lost and could use some help

You should take minute a browse though some of the information in the Tech Library concerning your swap.

I've never done what you're looking to do... but I'm thinking it might be the later engine mounts. See if you can gain the information you need from the information in the Library.

Maybe someone else here has the answer you need...
