I replaced unit in tank last yr. my fuel gauge shows 3/4 full and only has a couple gallon in tank. bad ground or float ??

ive owned several bronco II's and rangers, mid 80's and they all don't blow enough air from the heat vents. I tried changing fans but don't blow any better. any tips here ?? vents etc plugged maybe ??
