OK, I am selling the Ranger. I just don't have the heart for that project anymore. Besides, I want another 4x4. But I need 4 doors. That leaves me with few options. Explorer or Cherokee. I had a Cherokee and loved it. Parts were plentiful and reasonable. But I'm having difficulty finding one...

For a mechanical fuel pump I think you have to go with an early ford van pump because they are upside down. A standard pump will have clearance issues. Honestly a decent electric pump is a better choice. They are simple to install and all you really would need is a regulator.

I didn't have to do anything except dent the driver's floorboard near the bottom of the firewall to clear the headers. Used headers for a 72 mustang with no issues other than that.
