Hey everyone, I have a 1985 b2 with the 2.8 with a Holley 390cfm on it. Just got the carb back from being rebuilt went to start and seems as the carb isn’t getting fuel. Will see fuel come to inline filter but not spray out of jets. Then after trying to start I can see the fuel pull back down the line. Just put a fresh tank and sending unit into the truck. Tank is about 1/2 full of gas. Thinking about doing a fuel pump. Just looking for advice or suggestions thank you.

I would do a fuel volume and pressure test.

Volume test is easy. Disconnect fuel line from the carb... run line into a see thru bottle. Crank engine over and see if you're getting good squirts of fuel. If you can make it run... that fuel pump should about fill a pop bottle in about 10 to 15 seconds.

Mechanical fuel pumps deliver between 5 and 8 psi of pressure. You will need a gauge to test that.
