hey all, first time poster here on trs. looking for some help.

I have a 1989 bronco II 4WD 2.9 V6 XLT

the signal lights keep blowing fuses, everytime I shift the vehicle in to reverse it will blow.

With a blown fuse, the rear anti-lock light comes on. When I put in a new fuse, that goes out. When I put it in reverse, the fuse blows and the rear anti lock light comes right back on and signals wont work. I have looked all through the manuals and internet and the rear antilock is not on the same line as turn signals.

Welcome to the forums. A good place to start is to address the short in the backup light circuit. The fuse that covers the backup lights is related to the instrument cluster "brake" warning light. The ABS warning light is different; if it's coming on with blowing the reverse light fuse you may have some wiring issues. So a good starting point would be to trace the reverse light circuit from the switch to the lamps.
