Clutch position. Too close to brake?

When driving by new BII home it seemed like the clutch pedal was uncomfortably close to the brake pedal. I've owned a few Rangers of this era that were manuals and don't remember the pedal feeling so cramped. My 2011 Ranger is an auto so I don't know if the newer Rangers are just as cramped. (I wanted a stick but found this 2011 back in 2016 with 39K on it and figured I could put up with the auto.)

Is your BII factory manual. There are two different brake pedals. One for manual and one for automatic. The geometry of the arm is different. Can you post a picture.

It is a factory manual, no doubt. Bought from original owner I have the window sticker. I think I understand what you are meaning about the brake pedal. Sometimes on autos the brake pedal is wider. That way if your use to driving a stick you can slam on the brakes while trying to change gears :)

Picture of my pedals attached.

Kidding of course...

That looks like factory spacing. I know with my winter boots it's kinda tight.

Well, I do have a few family members who are clowns, literal clowns that is the type who wear such footwear. I swear I was not wearing their shoes though :)

Got to thinking last night about a 1996 Escort wagon I had which had a manual transmission. The pedals were close enough that if I was wearing boots it was easy to hit the brake and gas at the same time. So, perhaps it is just me?
