A couple weeks ago I broke a back 4 bolt toke on my 85, ordered a driveshaft from the junkyard, anyways the one I got is a double ujoint cv style shaft and the one from my 85 is single ujoint with 2 4 bolt flanges. Any way to swap over to the double? I can always pull the flange off the one I got from the junkyard but I dont feel like paying $115 for a 4 bolt flange lol

I seem to remember the double shaft being a pos and everyone saying that it you wheel it it'll break. I know I swapped out my 2 piece for a 1 and am much happier. I also seem to remember someone making a 1 piece from the 2 piece.

I just threw in the slip yoke from the double to my single. Never even had that rubber boot off the single to take a look. Kinda crappy paying $115 for just the slip yoke, but I dont feel like returning the shaft. Took the junkyard 3 weeks to get, and then they have to return it, get another. Annoying process
