hey everyone,

I recently sold my 94 ranger STX and im missing it everyday.
I found an awesome deal on craigslist for an 88 BII 4X4 XLT manual ~136K
the pics looked good and the guy was very honest about any work it needed so i drove an hr to go look at it

I wasnt expecting too much bc its been sitting since last august
the guy got it off his brother inlaw for free
he drove it a few times to keep it goin but other than that it has sat

I got there and noticed theres virtually no rust on the ting
(some under carrage rust)
the interior is in immaculate condition
over all i couldnt pass it up for 300bux

I noticed it has a body kit on it and i have been searching since I frist saw the pics trying to figure out what the hell this kit is

now that I have it I took pics while it was at my dads garage
its just side steps that flow right into extended fender flares
im guessing its some dealer installed package
mabey the Gramps LTD package (i am not a fan of the stuff being on it lol)

I did some stupid maintenance work on it tonight and it went pretty well
all new fluids
heater core/ coolant flush (still crappy heat)
im guessing it needs a T-stat
new trans, transfercase, front and rear diffs, and oil change
needs a new power steering pump
all new brakes (hella rusted)
new belts (came with 2 of the 3 I need lol)

other than that its all good
well im done ramblin on and on
heres the pix I took with my phone sry bout the quality ill get better ones up asap once I detail the hell outta the thing

lmk whatcha think

Body kit? Are you talking about the running boards? Iv seen alot of B2's with them, they should just be screwed to the body sheet metal, or they could be bolted to the frame so they shouldn't be to hard to pull off.

Good find.

And I think he was talking about the fender flares...

But, nope, never seen them before, from the pics, it looks like the running boards and fenderflares come together, like a 'kit'

Nice find, for $300 its really nice. I've seen a couple in the junk yard with the running boards but not with the fender flairs like those. Does look like a kit of some kind, probably factory, just my guess. But again for $300, you can't go wrong

jester: you have seen this "kit" on other bronco II's?

I was kinda surprised when I couldnt find any pics in all the bronco II sites and google images

Im excited bout gettin back to work tonight once my dads done at the shop

oh... by the way, do you think its realistic to think ill be able to see this BII sell for ~1500 once its fixed up?

I picked it up for a quick turn around to fund me gettin another truck or fixin up my bike for the comming (and welcome) spring

Those are aftermarket one-peice fiberglass running boards with the wheelwell flairs built in. I installed those years ago, mainly on conversion vans but they were also made for pickups and SUVs too. Can't recall any brand names; I think several companies made such running boards. Good score on the truck!
