ignition lock removal

87 b2 how do I remove the ignition lock cylinder from my truck when I don't have the keys? I drilled out the pin but it won't slide out.

You have to drill out the centre part of the lock so that you can rotate the cylinder to the run position before it can be removed.

You need to run a drill through the middle (where the key goes)

Ther eis a "nub" on the end that is engaged in the brass sector gear and there is a steel guard plate that prevents the cylinder from being withdrawn from the column until the "nub" is totated to align with the matching slot in the guard plate.
