I'm putting a plan together and I need input. I looking to buy a B2 for mostly road use. I won't be my daily driver but I see taking it to work about 30% of the time. I would like to upgrade the engine and I see two paths, buy a 90 and plugin a 4.0 or get an older B2 and do a V8.

I really need some wisdom so please toss it over.

well in my opinion the older one with a small block v8 wouldnt be all that hard, not a whole lot of wires but you would have to check whats legal in your state. then it may take some fab work on the heater box and motor mounts, and probably an oil filter relocation kit. then on top of that you would need a new tranny and t-case if your going with a 4x4. plus drive shafts. and you would probably wanna swap out the 7.5 rear for and 8.8 at least. im not very up to date on the 4.0 swap as its never really crossed my mind as something i wanted to do to any of mine. but give it a bit and im sure someone whos smarter than i am will give you some info on the 4.0 swap.
