been working on a project with my son a wrecked 84 ranger with a 2.8 . it ran when we brought it home but we have cut off the dog house when we did we carefully removed the wireing harness for the inner fenders and core support. now we have the body all back together looking pretty decent(still need paint) when we went to start it up to move it it wouldnt start i looked for lose wires and all but dont see any, i took off the coil wire and have no spark. what is the best way to check the coil to see if its good, next how do you check to see if the computer is good. is there a way to buy aftermarket setup to upgrade or be a better coil set up ?:annoyed::bawling::icon_confused:

To check coil, remove 2 wire plug and check coil prongs with vom meter, should read about 1.7 ohms.check voltage at 2 wire plug with key on,should be 12 volts to ground.
