I just got another 4wd 2door Explorer a couple weeks ago, its automatic and good shape well takin care of, and even came with paper work to show that someone else put another transmission in it a number of years ago with not many miles on the rebuilt,, ANYWAY - Anyone know what makes the speedymeter act up,, in slow speeds like in town and such it seems ok, but I get on the highway or freeway and staying with traffic and my gauge is pointing down to the 75 - 80 mph range,, and I know I am only doing maybe 65 - 70, it has the stock size tires, A4LD, 4 spd auto, this is just one of them things not serious enough to fix it right now or to find cause right now, but just thought I would ask if anyone else has had this and knew of a fix, or even the cause, Oh and its a 91 with only 147,000 miles on it, I have a lifetime warrenty for leaks on windshield, a lifetime on muffler from Midas, and like I say it had new transmission from ford at the tune of $1600 back in 1998, and that was only about 25,000 miles ago, and all I had to do for this was to trade off my 94 Ford Taurus Wagon with 105,000 that I paid about $600 for,, I think I came out ahead on that one,, lol
