Well recently i have rebuilt a 2.8. When i bought the bronco it did not have any vacuum lines at all, however the solenoids are still mounted on the side. In my rebuild i got rid of the smog pump(and with that doesn't that mean i no longer have a need for EGR stuff to?) and i don't have AC. I know certain lines have to be hooked up for the engine and carb to run right? What do i have to have hooked up, also note the pcv and oil cap are not hooked up and i have no clue where they connect in at?

any help is much appreciated

I thought I would pull my 85 EVTM out and see exactly what it had fir vacuum diagrams. It was a bit disappointing...

I don't have a bunch of experience with the 2.8L.

I know most tend to switch to duraspark ignition... and also swap to a non computerized carb.

Your diagram is correct. One of the “to engine” hoses goes to the vacuum canister, which feeds thermactor egr systems. The other “ to engine” goes to the evap purge solenoid. I think I got those name right🤔. That’s it for vacuum from the intake port.

🤦🏻‍♂️ PCV connects to the large vacuum port rear of carb on driver side. Oil cap ports to the air cleaner.

Doesn't the canister also supply the heater box? Or is that all mechanical?

Both my 85s are mechanical.
