Do you think the original five speed would hold up at all to the 302?

No, it's a 5 speed.

I just bought a bronco 2 and pulled out the 2.8 I was debating on rebuilding the 2.8 or just slapping in a 302. I'm wondering what drive line parts I can get away with leaving till they fail. Anyone done the conversion?

Pretty sure I've got all the bolts. But I'll check agian. I didn't know if I had to do anything special. I'll double check. Hopefully I won't have to pull the transmission and transfercase with it.

Hey, I'm pulling the old engine out of my 84 bronco 2. I've got everything apart and everything unbolted but I'm still having trouble removing the engine from the transmission. Any special tricks or hidden bolts I'm missing? thanks.

Hey, just bought I 84 bronco 2. Got it home and removed the valve cover. Found that the rocker arms where covered in sand and dirt. Anyone know of some really good websites with rebuild kits. having a little trouble finding good ones. Please help. joe
