    87 to 89 B2 engine swap

    I have a 87 b2 with a rebuilt engine. I want to put that engine into my 89 that's in much better condition. Can I do a straight swap?

    Engine from 87 to 89

    Can I swap a 2.9 out of a 87 and put it in a 89, and if so what issues may come up. I've heard things about the knock sensor and egr systems being different.
