try turning it all the way to one side to where you can get a good wack with a good size hammer on the back side.

i think it's riveted in there, i dont wanna create more work for myself. i'm gonna get the puller off tomorrow and reposition it, it should come off then.

The box should just have 3 bolts through the frame.

its coming out good bro!

when i did my fsb lift, the pitman arm would not come off with a puller and beating, it took a combination of heating, then quenching with pb blaster, then heating again then the puller and hammer while it was hot, what a pain in the butt

i tried heating a little bit, but i'm neverous i'm gonna blow the truck up and i'm allergic to dying lol.

i've got the front end on cinder blocks and 2x4's right now and they're kinda in the way. i guess i could just wait til the front suspension is in and get it sitting on the tires again, that way i can get to it.

:icon_rofl: you have that allergy too? that tends to get in the way of everything!!

there's nothing that will blow up around the steering box! wanna talk scary, i had to replace my fuel pump in the fsb and the tank skid bolts were rotted, i had to torch them out, i had a very high pucker factor that day :icon_surprised:

i busted out my 1/2" ratchet and an impact socket, took of the puller, repositioned it and tightened it again. came right off, just like i was thinking.

and the reason i needed new coil spring insulators

my b2 was built in 9 of 87 IIRC, so almost 25 years on these bad boys. hopefully the new ones will last longer.
