I need a 7 degree reamer used to ream out tre and ball joints for custom steering. I have a 92 x with fullsize d44ttb and the tre are under knuckle and i want to move them over the knuckle. want to avoid the FA 600 pitman arm and get more clearance. already have the ball joint sleeves but cant afford to dish out the 100 bucks for a tool im gonna use twice! anyone able to help? Im in CA btw

Should be 1.5 inch per foot for the reamer. Look up x-cut reamers.

...What Sasquatch said...or find a local machine shop to do it for you

By "ball joint sleeves" do you mean TRE inserts? If so you can simply drill them out to the new diameter and then weld the inserts in the knuckle...no reamer needed. The large drill bit should be a lot cheaper.
Ruffstuff sells them among others, might be an alternative looking into.

I just sold mine a couple months ago to a member on here. The reamers are expensive but great quality from Xcut

Yea no need for a reamer at all if using the inserts. Just a drill bit

Nice. I learned something today.

I had honestly never wondered if reamers and inserts were commercially available... Now if I ever need something like this, I'll be pre-mentally prepared!
