Hi all, project is slower than hoped, but moving along .
Frame is cut down 30" which will give me a wheel base of 109" .
Body is off b2 frame .
Found a 302 with 500 miles on it , supposed to be 350 hp, getting tranny built (c4) with advanced adapter to my t case out of b2.
Soon as I get tranny back I'll set motor and tranny in frame and set body on.
That wear I'm at now more to come.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1424679644.853890.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1424679690.325654.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1424679752.966082.jpg

More to come. I've asked all around about doing this, no one had, so I'll be the one to try.
So far not to bad .
This should give me a lot easer time with headers and a lot of other problems I've heard about v8 swap. Every thing from frame up is b2 every thing below is 77 f150.
Wish me luck.

I will say this. If I hadn't already had the f150 sitting, I would have probably used a full size bronco frame. It is a closer match to b ii , truck frame has a bend in it that will be a slight problem , but I'm going to set body mounts up like a body lift so I'm hoping it takes care of that issue.
Will see in a few weeks, weather here had been bad. We Texans done like cold and wet weather .

I cut 30" out of truck frame, should have a wheel base of 103" I think or was it 113.
I'll check that to.
Any one know who makes the widest fender flairs?
Putting 36" tired under it with 17 or 18" wheels.
Considering exo frame to. And of courts custom bumpers with winches.

I haven't really thought about this route. its got me thinking. How much wider is the 150 frame than the b2 frame?

hmmmmm. Wonder how the body would fit on an explorer frame?

It's about 4"to 5" wider, the bii frame will almost fit in between the f150 frame.
If I did it again I'd use a full size bronco frame. It is closer to bii frame shape.
It made sense to me because I'll have no issues with motor stuff, headers ect.
And I get a wider wheel base and longer, from 94" to 109".
Explorer should fit, not sure of wheel base, 2 or 4 door?

Thinking 2 door right off hand. Little longer but just a matter of some rear fender work. If I were to run across one for the right price I would definitely be checking into it. Really it would be easier to mod the explorer body,..... But then it's not a bronco.

Well still waiting on tranny to get finished, motor is done, when tranny is done I'll set motor and tranny in and the fit body on.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1431078960.576022.jpg

Also little by little gathering parts. Doing rear disc conversion, all new lines calipers and such.
35" tires, not sure of lift till I get body on as the f150 chassis is like 8" taller on its own from bii.
Progress is slow at this point.

Motor looks great, really looking forward to seeing your progress. I know what you mean about slow progress. I've also been gathering parts and trying to put a little money aside to feed my addiction.
