My brother is giving e the motor and trans cheap. Any particular issues with this motor? I'm not sure if they made an AOD 4x4 but if they did I'll need t dig up a tail housing.

Thanks

Ron

OK, I'm an idiot.:icon_twisted:

Just found out a AOD isn't like a C-4 in that you can't swap tail housings. Any recommendations on a trany (manual or automatic?)

Thanks
Ron

4x4 AOD out of Bronco's work well and its a 4 speed automatic. C4 is a 3 speed automatic and smaller in size.

Great, thanks.

I'm not sure if the OD part is important to me or not. Is the AOD all mechanical or is there electronics involved? Also, can I get my 1350 to work with the AOD or do I need the Bronco transfer case, and if I need that, how involved is it to get it (the T case,) to work w/ a D35?

Thanks for all your help.

Ron

if you have an automatic currently in your BII then you'll have a C5. All you have to do is swap the output shafts then it will bolt right back up to your transfer case and you won't have to do any tweaking. Same drive shaft and your tranny and transfer case will be in the same position.
