So I went to check my spark plugs and wires only to find they were very in need of replacing. It went all good and fine but I realized I have 8 plug wires but only 7 old ones i pulled off. I ordered the Motorcraft ones from rock auto and I’ll include a screenshot below. Looks like 8 are in the picture too. I swapped each one and it’s running good so no complaints there. I know 6 are for the cylinders and the one goes to the ignition coil. Is the other an extra? Both ends are the same, which are the same as the ones that connect to the distributor. Picture below.
Also on a side note, which cylinders have the different ends? I know driver front wire (cylinder 6?) is the straight plug cause that matched the one I pulled off. But one of the other plugs has a different shaped angle to it that didn’t match any I pulled off and because of the length I put it in passenger middle (cylinder 2?). And the third one is the ignition coil 90 degree plug that matched the old one.
