Auto to manual swap

I have an 85 bronco ii and pulled the auto transmission out and put in a 5sd manual. Now having a problem on what to do with the vacuum modulator hose! If I block it off the engine dies. Idles high with it open. Running out of ideas. Any help would be nice. Thanks

Vacuum port needs plugged off. It idols fast with it open because it’s a vacuum leak. Plug it and re adjust your idol at the carb. An automatic in park or neutral idols higher than a manual.

Yeah I plugged it off. Still have a little adjustment to do on it. But got it to idle now! Switched carbs my other one was having some issues! Guy stripped the couple of screws that hold the tps! Previous owner of course. Good guy but not a mechanic. Thanks for the help. Will post an update on my results!

Got it straight for the most part still have a few bugs to work out, but no complaints so far
