B Deuce

So since I am 2days from finishing paint then on to lift I decided to start my build thread.
The story of Bdeuce is kinda wierd, I found him at my friends ranch while working for her. I knew he was there didnt know much else about him though. Come to find out he suffered from the most common element know to BIIs cracke 2.9 head; and previously blow 4ald. He was parked shortly after a trans rebuild (ruffly 3k) and cracked head, someone did try to revive him pulled the heads to replace, put was soon found to the hands of a cracked doctor(guy took off with heads and never came back to finish). Fast forward almost 8 years; I find him dead in the sun, engine half torn down with only 1 flat tire, broken rear window, and untouched(no lift, no mods what so ever).

in the beginning stage it looks like one that my mom had, right down to the blown motor, except hers hadn't been discected. looks good, though my question is how the plastikote bedliner has held up for you?

The arms I actually got from a member on here for 40 when he did his sas swap, cant remember his name off hand though right now. They still need to be cleaned up though, and the brackets made.
The tires were saved from my ranger(thank got i took them off before it was parked) they are maxxis and they kicked ass in the mud and sand, I really like them alot really quiet too.
The plastikote is actually doing well the first panels i did were like month and a half old and still looks good, just needs to be washed, i am waiting to see how it does out in the mud and brush and shit.

Awsome little B2, I love my Bighorns, but they howl like no other. They are very loud. But work great offroad, and im damn near off road more than on. I just wish they made them bigger than 35s.

Alright so I now have the interior, and paint done.:yahoo: I redid the carpet with a dark grey, headliner was done in black, and the instrument/radio bezel done with the bedliner spray. Next is the building of the radius arm brackets, clean and paint the radius arms, and regear the diffs, going 4.56 front and back, skyjacker ttb brackets, jeep coils, hybrid explorer/ranger leafs that actually flexed really good on the ranger(may have to mod them once on BDeuce). Also going to be doing the f250 shock mounts in the front. And now on to the pics:clapping:

Ok I finally got time to start lifting the truck. Taking the stock front out wasnt really that hard thanks to the handy plasma cutter:icon_welder:, had the front out and on the ground in a hour. Then started putting in the drop brackets and mounting everything in place, then relized I need to modify my trans mount. I got almost everything done for the front minus shocks and bleeding the brakes. Here are some progress pics, tonight wrap up the front and put the rear together and hopefully be driving by tonight.

pay no attention to that caliper hanging there it got removed just after the pic

and this is what it would look like with the back at the level it will sit

Well its 1130 ca time, I just got done (almost few little things)drove it around the block and am super happy. :yahoo::headbang::icon_surprised::icon_thumby: The rear sat just where I wanted it to, its is a combo of a explorer pack with a procomp long add a leaf no overload, and a bell tech shackle; and it sits just right on some 33s. The front was a combo of skyjacker drop brackets, some radius arms I got from another member on here that were custom, jeep tj iirc 6or8", and some custom radius arm brackets I made. I drove it around the block really quick couple of times being how late it was and I have to work in the morning. It road great from what quick 10mins it was, leans a little much in the turns but then again really soft coils and no sway bar(one of the little things). I cant wait to get everything finished and fine tuned to go play, only a few small things left to do.
1 tune alignment
2 swap in actually transfer case and drive shaft not just the dumie
3 correct shocks on the rear
4 hook up sway bar with disconnects in front only
:icon_cheers:to me for a day and a half worth of work:beer:time now
