I plan to swap a 302 into a bronco II made for street driving only very soon... I plan on using a C4 transmission... I know the tallest gears I have available in ranger axles is 3:45... will that be ok for driving on the highway...I am well aware of the upgrades to 8.8 and dana 35 which I will probably do eventually, but I am concerned with rpm at 65 mph or so. I will be using stock tires or maybe at the largest 29 inches.. what do you guys think is a good ratio for the C4 and my combo?

I think you would be better off with 3.73 gears myself.....Or use a AOD Trans.
Is it 4WD or 2WD?

3.45 isn't available for the D35 & 8.8", but 3.55 and 3.27 is.

I would probably lean toward 3.55 with that combo and 29" tires.
