Hi, my locking hubs on my Bronco II with the Dana 28 front axle are shot and I am looking to replace them with manual locking hubs. I use this truck for winter - nothing extreme. Who are some companies who make cheap conversion kits and where would I find them?

best bet is to put a wanted add in the wanted section, the "kit" prices are just stupid. All the kit is is the bearing nuts, pretty much.

hit up allanD on here, i bet he has a set

Okay, say I find some hubs at a junkyard and take all of the bearings, nuts, spacers and stuff. Will I still need the conversion kit?

you will need the inner and outer nut as well as the lock ring that goes in between them, as well as the hubs, that's it.

The front wheel bearing nuts froma truck with manual hubs IS the conversion kit.

But for your truck it NEEDS to be off of another truck made prior to 11-89
(12 diff bolts or 23-spline shafts).

LAter stuff is a different (larger) thread and won't work.

I Do have atleast one hub, I think I have another but I'll need
to look around and I know I have several of the nut sets.
