I have had my b2 for around 16-19 months and have ridden it hard and put it away wet for the last time. Suffice it to say I am no longer going to build rigs without taking into consideration road manors UNLESS its ridding a trailer to and from the wheeling location.

I will begin with pictures of the b2 as it has progressed.

Nearly stock. All I had done at this point was swap on the manual hubs and whacked the hole in the hood.

Idiot friend got stuck "wheeling" his 2wd Chevy 20 van drunk in the local Metroparks at around 3am. My thanks for helping him was a freeze plug pissing like a race horse on my bell housing. So new head gaskets, water pump, intake gaskets, freeze plugs etc were installed.

I ran 31 11.5 15s for a short period of time but can not locate pictures of anything but the tires....

About 10 months ago I swapped in a d35,31 spline 8.8 (locked rear 456s in both), 2.5 inch rancho lift, XJ 240lbs spring rate coils, Rancho radius arms, 33 12.5 15 TSLs, Warn hubs, tack welded u-joints, rear window sliders M5od1 trans, etc.

Here comes the bright blue paint!

Jeep coil picture

Incredibly rigged up hand throttle.

Random carnage pictures

IFS 8.8 diff cover.

Breaker bar/4wd shifter

B2s final pictures before the trip to the big scrap pile in the sky.

Broken pinch welds/ rusted out. I need to stop hitting trees, rocks etc.

(This is better than it was, I have zip screws holding that together)

I have good news. The b2 is going to be donating its axles, some lift parts, Trans, t-case, and other odds and ends to the explorer.

If anyone is interested in parts off the b2 or the Explorer (bumpers, seats, unbroken center console, etc PM me before I get this thing on the trail and destroy it).

Thanks for wasting your time reading my trials and tribulations with my wheeling rigs.

Thanks. I should be sending the Explorer under the knife after the b2 is cut up and sold for parts.

My credo
If you can't go through it or around it, then go over it.
wow, so how long before your explorer looks like the B2?

That has got to be the best before, during and after pics of a off road rig that I've seen in quite awhile! It felt like I was right there with it as I was browsing the pics! Awesome!

Thanks, I have MANY stages of the " Rise and Fall" of my b2 missing, mostly due to lack of pictures.

I was curious what happened to that BII of yours... Kinda what happened to my truck, but yours was in much worse shape.

I approve of the move to the Explorer. :icon_thumby:

The primary supports in the rear rusted/broke so badly I had to either get a new cab and new engine or just toss it.

The explorer has more wheelbase, more glass, and more weight. we will see how it goes.
