I have been looking for a front mount hitch since I picked up my 89 B2 a couple of months ago. After finding nothing on the internet, I started looking into the universal or adjustable hitches. I found one at my local Auto Zone. Think I paid $129.99 for it.

The mount worked really well. Had to drill one hole in the frame. I also ended up flipping the receiver upside down. The "correct" way of mounting left the unit hanging down too low for my taste. By flipping it over, it raised the hitch and should work fine.

Personally dude, that hangs down WAY too low. You could have built one for dirt cheap and made it look a lot better.

Here's what I did on my 93 ranger:

I agree, its still kinda low for my taste. But I also know that I couldn't build one myself. I have no welder, no acess to a welder, and no skills to weld! I'm going to try to change the way it mounts and possibly tuck it up a little higher. I'll post pictures if I figure out something better.
