Fuel gauge issues

I am having issues with my 90 B2 Eddie Bauer edition's fuel gauge, when the truck is off i think it is working and giving me a read on how much fuel I have (not sure of this yet), but when i turn the ignition on/ start it, it goes straight to empty even with a full tank. Any ideas on what could cause this and how to fix it?

Either the sending unit in the tank or the slosh circuit board on the dash.

ok the sending unit in the tank is new so its gotta be the slosh circuit, thanks.
